So there is one funny organizational chart for technology companies that I'd bonkersworld found from would like to share about.

This chart is drawn up with understanding and perception from outsiders at how this each company operate.

While from the chart we can see Microsoft has many department which they're competing each other as well as killing each other. From the chart we can see that Oracle have each of their department a legal people or we can say lawyer. Perhaps their motive is to acquire new companies or sue other companies.

Amazon's organizational structured is so structure similar to those traditional companies in 20^th century. Perhaps this is one of the reason why we see few innovations come from Amazon.

Funny huh? :) The Chinese Engineer from Wing Wah, a factory in China had replicated the megatron tank from "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" successfully with their good steel craftsmanship. The tank is made mostly from scrap metal. The tank dimension is 4.5 x 3.2 x 2.5 meters and weights 5 tons.

Why The Night Sky is The Greatest Eye Deception?

So here are the explanation:
If you are looking toward the sky at night and if by luck the sky is clear without cloud, you are able to see a lot of stars laying on the sky.

Did you ever imagine that the star we are looking at is in fact, a sun. It's similar to the sun that we have in our solar system. Because of the distance is quite far away from our earth, then the sun looks very small and blinking. But in reality the stars are actually have the shape similar to our sun, even the size itself is larger than our sun.

The Sun

The sun that we have is about 200 times of the Earth's diameter. Its contents are the hydrogen gas which reacted thermonuclear-ly into helium gas. While there are stars whose size ten times or even hundred times larger compared to the size of our sun. The largest sun ever found, VY Canis Majoris is even reach about 500 times of our sun or 100 thousand times the size of the earth that we inhabit.

So large in size, but looks so small to us isn't it? Yes, it's because the stars located at distant place far away from the earth. For example in science, the astronomy stated the distance of the particular star is about 8 light-years. What does it mean? It means the light itself takes 8 years to reach the particular star.

So if it is calculated in kilometers:
The speed of light is 300,000 km per second (about 186,000 miles per second). So if light takes 8 years to get to the star, means the distance is
8 years x 365 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds x 300,000 km = 75,686,400,000,000 miles or about 75 trillion kilometers. What an unimaginable distances! :O

Speed of Light

The number of star in this universe is trillions. Every 100 billion of stars form a cluster namely Galaxy. The cluster that we live in is called the Milky Way Galaxy. Next to it there are Andromeda and Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy. There are billions of galaxies in the universe. And the tremendous thing is every 100 billion galaxies forming a Galaxies Cluster called the Super-Cluster, and so on. The universe is not yet known of its boundary.

What is the distance between cluster?
It varies. There are within 100 light years which means light itself takes 100 years in order to reach there. There are 1000 light-years and even a million light-years away. And the most far discovered by Japanese Scientist is 10 billion light-years. Yes, it's true the light itself takes 10 billion years. Moreover our age means nothing compared to the greatness of this universe.

So have you ever imagine that the sun we had just look now is the sun we look 8 minutes ago? How come it's not the sun we look at the current time?
Because the sun's light takes 8 minutes to reach Earth which is 150 million kilometers away from the sun. Meaning, the sun that we see at the time was the sun 8 minutes ago! weird isn't it? That's because light also takes time to arrive its destination.

It still have the same understanding for the distant stars. If we're watching the star which its distant 100 million light-years, then in reality we are just watching the appearance of the star 100 million years ago!
So with such fact that if we looked at the night sky then we are in fact do not only see the present sky, but at the same time we're looking the sky of 1000 years ago, a million years ago and even 10 billion years ago.

This Chinese Guy buy a Car with 300 Kilograms of Coins!

Shaanxi - This guy tried to buy a car at a car dealership in the city of Xianyang China with coins, weighing around 300 kilograms. On 1 August, Wang brought the coins amounting 60 thousand yuan, or approximately US$ 9000 to a car dealership located in Shaanxi Province, China.

Wang, who is a flour seller in Xianyang, transporting his ton of coins with cars. The coins were collected by using seven sack of previously sack of flour. As reported by China Daily on Wednesday (08/03/2011), the car dealer find it difficult to find banks that accept coins, eventually they find a bank agrees to count the coins.

Wang could not immediately bring his new dream car home because the bank is still counting the coins which Wang had been saving for 10 years. He did so because he believe as long as the coin is valid, the coins are legal tender.

How To Take First Step in Reaching Your Dream?

Everyone has their respective strengths, but do everyone realize that? No.
Everyone has dreams, but do everyone trying to make it happen? No.
Everyone wants to succeed, but do everyone trying to make a move? No

No one ever thought Mount Everest can be climbed till Edmund Hillary did.
No one ever thought man can fly till till Orville & Wilbur Wright found a device called an airplane.
And Justin Bieber won't be like now if he wasn't posting videos on Youtube.

All of achievement is started from a dream.

What are the factors that most often prevent a person to achieve his dream? It's "Taking the first step". Because of how heavy of taking the first step, they automatically make a mental block for themselves by limiting their own ability. Statements such as:

1. I'll waiting for the right time to start moving.
2. I'll wait until I've a good skill.
3. I do not know where to start.
4. I won't be able to, it is too hard for me.

are examples of statements that hinders a person in walking. Yet the fact is:

1. Time will never get right because if you get used to wait, you'll always find an alibi that prevents you to move.

2. A good skill is actually can be acquired through learning when we move forward. As the saying goes, "experience is the best teacher". Would you be good in playing musical instruments just by reading books? No, right?

3. You can start to take your first step by seeking for information, conduct a research and then start making plans. Yes, the best step to start something is to plan and start executing the plan one by one. Do not be confused!

4. The belief of "I am not able to..." is a mental block that you have to get rid of, because by thinking failure will limit your creativity. One thing you must realize is that everyone who is doing something for the first time would be always difficult. But from the difficulty you can learn a lot. People who are struggling to overcome the difficulties will be a creative person.

The conclusion of the 4 points above are, you have to start moving now. Do not even get stuck in your dreams only. How to take the first step to transform your dream into reality?

1. Make plan and preparation to reach your dreams
Planning and good preparation will help your journey. Are you able to climb Mount Everest just to bring a piece of bread? By failing to prepare, you're preparing to fail.

2. Do it now
Take one step at a time. Although the dream is very big, you better realize the small things in advance so you are not overwhelmed. Since this is your first time, you will certainly find a lot of trouble and make mistakes. Learn from your mistakes and it would be worth in return.

3. Do it right
Once you learn your mistake, then you must fix it by doing it right. Try not to repeat the mistake for the second times.

Tall Woman is Riskier of Cancer than Short Woman! [STUDY]

Women who has a height above the average, proved to has a greater risk of cancer than people whose have short stature (less than 155 cm). Those women whose height is above 175 cm have a risk of cancer 37 percent higher.

The research was conducted on more than one million women in Britain in a study that examines the connection between the height and 17 types of cancer incidence. In general, for every increase of 10cm height, the risk is increased by 16 percent.

However, keep in mind that the real risk of getting cancer for the tall women are not that high. For example, out of every 1,000 tall women (173.8 cm height) there will be 10 who are diagnosed with cancer each year. Meanwhile, a group of medium height (160 cm) there will be 8 who are diagnosed with cancer. This means there are 2 additional diagnoses per 1,000 women from the above average height.

Large-scale study conducted by a team from Oxford University has also incorporated other risk factors on the incidence of cancer, such as socioeconomic status and smoking habits.

However UK Cancer Research, said women who are categorized as tall do not to worry about the results of such research. While it's height contribute to cancer risk, but there are other factors that contribute more that is family history and lifestyle.

Height can not be changed, but adopting a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, avoiding alcohol and quitting smoking is a proven way to reduce risk of cancer.

Researchers say that eating a banana for breakfast, a banana for lunch and a banana for the evening will provide adequate potassium to reduce the possibility of suffering blood clots in the brain about around 21 percents. Besides bananas, the research also shows that stroke can be prevented by consuming potassium-rich foods such as spinach, beans, milk fish and lentils.

Although some previous studies say that the banana is important for controlling blood pressure and preventing stroke, the results are not always consistent. However, new research published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology have scientists analyzed data from 11 different studies since the era of the '60s and combined to obtain the overall result.

Researchers found a daily intake of about 1,600 mg of potassium, less than half of the daily recommended intake for adult by the UK which is 3500 mg, is enough to reduce the risk of stroke more than a fifth. The average banana contains about 500 milligrams of potassium, which helps lower the blood pressure and control the fluid balance in the body. While too little potassium can cause gastrointestinal irritability, nausea, irregular heartbeat and diarrhea.

"Intake of potassium in most countries is far below the recommended daily amount," said researchers from the University of Warwick and University of Naples, as reported by Indiavision, Friday (8/7/2011).

If people eat Potassium-Rich Foods and also reduce the salt intake, the global annual death rate from stroke could be cut more than one million people per year.

"High blood pressure is the biggest stroke driving factor, and this research has shown that potassium can help lower blood pressure," said one spokesman for the Stroke Association.

Although it seems like a trivial problem but it would be very harmful to the person itself if he/she becomes a procrastinator too long.

There are some common characteristics possessed by a procrastinator. Are you one of them?

1. Optimistic vs. fear

A procrastinator is usually very confident to complete a job within a short time. For example, we feel able to make a book keeping within 2 hours. So if there is a time of 12 hours, 10 hours can be used to relax. In fact, the real reason behind this is laziness, fear of inability, or do not like the job.

2. Feels too busy

By feels too busy procrastinator, ultimately it make a person not doing a task/duty that he should do. For example, we feel unable to complete the task because we have to clean the room as well as cooking. Yet in the end, none of that task is done.

Rather than go straightforward to the photos which I think kind of boring, let's see some fact about Ancient China.

1. With an ongoing history dating back over sixteen thousand years, China is the world's oldest known continuous civilization.

2. "The Silk Road," and the riches it channeled toward influential western merchants like Pier One, life in the west has been forever enhanced by what were once considered exotic Chinese "novelties."

3. Chinese culture whose earliest recorded history takes us back to nearly 14,000 B.C, back to the time of the first fumbling and painful experiments with acupuncture-the era of the Tang Dynasty.

4. The Great Wall of China was started built by Emperor Tsu of the Shang Dynasty, a family of rulers who began their lengthy dominion in the eleventh century B.C.

5. It was believed, good spirits populating the Chinese countryside in the form of oxen, monkeys, giant pandas, dragons and rabbits. On the other hand, they were certain that other animals like snakes, ducks, voles and pigs had evil spirits within them, spirits intent on the destruction of their glorious empire.

Okay that is the old China during 1900s. However China today has changed so much, they modernized so fast. Yet there are folks who predict China will surpass in span of 2020-2030. While for me, I can't say anything because I'm not good at predicting but my logic saying is 2050 afterwards or late 21st century.

Plant Sentinel that Detect Explosive and Pollutant [PICS & VIDS]

Yet another great invention by U.S Scientists that is Plants which can detect pollutant and explosives. It could eventually be used for a wide range of applications such as security in airports or shopping malls, or monitoring for pollutants such as radon in a home.

U.S. scientists are developing plants that have an ability to detect bombs. How? they "taught" the plant's proteins to change color when there is certain chemical element. The application of research's result is not difficult, for example: the plants can be used by got it wrapped around the security gates. When terrorists approached with explosives, all plants change their color to white.

Daily Mail report, the plant is working because the protein receptor in the DNA of plants naturally respond to stimulus threat by releasing chemicals called terpenoids to thicken the epidermis of leaves, as the result leaves change color. The research was undertaken by biologist professor, June Medford from the University of Colorado along with the headquarters of U.S Department of Defence, the Pentagon.

“The idea to make detector plants comes directly from nature,” Medford said. “Plants can’t run or hide from threats, so they’ve developed sophisticated systems to detect and respond to their environment. We’ve ‘taught’ plants how to detect things we’re interested in and respond in a way anyone can see, to tell us there is something nasty around.”

Computational design of Medford’s detection trait was initially done in collaboration with Professor Homme Hellinga at Duke University and more recently with Professor David Baker at the University of Washington

How it works: The Baker and Hellinga laboratories used a computer program to redesign naturally occurring proteins called receptors. These re-designed receptors specifically recognize a pollutant or explosive. Medford’s lab then modifies these computer redesigned receptors to function in plants, and targets them to the plant cell wall where they can recognize pollutants or explosives in the air or soil near the plant. The plant detects the substance and activates an internal signal that causes the plant to lose its green color, turning the plants white.

Moving forward, Medford will use her team of some 30 undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to focus on such factors as speeding up detection time. The initial or first-generation plants respond to an explosive in hours, but improvements are underway to reduce the response time to a few minutes.

Based on research so far, the ability of detection is similar or even better than dogs. The nature of detection could be used for any plant and can detect multiple pollutants at once. Professor Medford and his team recently received a three-year grant worth 7.9 million dollars from the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency to bring their discoveries to the "real world." The study appears in the journal PLoS ONE.

The invention is a good news especially to be applied to my country, Indonesia where often got a bomb terror.
